About Us
The Centre for National Policy and Research is India’s first participative think tank. It is a non-profit policy research organization with a vision to emerge as a top global think tank and dedicated to delivering practical solutions to India’s greatest challenges.
Founded in 2021 by Dr. Sayak Bhattacharya, CNPR is a platform for bringing together luminaries from diverse domains to address the dominant issues of the day. Dr. Sayak Bhattacharya is an educationist with over two decades of experience in the leading institutions of India and USA. CNPR originated from his vision of connecting the dots in the society which aid in the transformation of India from a developing to a developed nation in the coming decades. CNPR is also open to the general public for easy interaction with domain specialists and putting forward their actionable ideas in our project work plans.
CNPR’s vision is to emerge as one of the top global think tanks in the coming decade. In most of the leading think tanks in present-day India, the honor of presentation of viewpoints is limited to an elite few. CNPR’s mission is to bridge this gap and bring on today’s youth, today’s homemakers, students, and regular office goers to the discussion table. We want the policymakers to come face to face with the taxpayers and the public at large who can best analyze the practical applicability of various governance schemes along with pitching up with new ideas.
CNPR aims to emerge as India’s top think tank by the end with strong participation from policymakers, bureaucrats, scientists, environmentalists, educationists, industrialists and finally the common man on the streets. A participatory think tank is a relatively new concept whose pros and cons have been actively debated but rarely tried and tested. CNPR is an effort to navigate the uncharted territory and emerge successfully as one of the top global think tanks and the leading think tank in India.
At CNPR, we believe that all Social Thinkers should get an opportunity to publish their views on a viable platform. We are holding a Workshop every month, that prepares young thinkers to write on local and global issues and get their work published on CNPR and also on Journals. The fees for the Workshop is INR 3000/- for Indian students and 100$ for International students. For further details, please drop in a mail to director@cnpr.in
